I love this place! We are a regular there. The sangria wine (always as for the white- MUCH better than the red) is really good. Get the carafe, it is worth it. Their tater tots are tasty especially with the crab on it! Their burgers always change, so try the burger of the month or the Mac and cheese. You will not be disappointed.
The crab cake sliders were crisp, but moist!! I could hear myself breathing, but just couldn't suppress my inner fat man(my exterior one was already visible). I ate one as it came, the other one I just ate the crab cake. I had the PB&J burger , not disappointed one bit. The chef was funny, he was joking about the fact that I ordered both for myself... he clearly knew I couldn't finish them both. I'll be back.... I never back down !!
Tl;Dr. Gourmet burger, weird atmosphere, great service, average cocktails, pricy menu. My favorite things about this place was that it is definitely built inside a former pizza hut or something. They did a good job fixing it up, but it still feels like the spirit of shitty pizza lingers. This didn't really detract from the experience but I imagine it may bother some people. The burger was a five star gourmet burger. They cooked an almost perfect medium rare, and the bourbon jam was delicious. The fries were very good as well! I had a Kentucky mule cocktail, and it seemed odd to me that their well bourbon was Kentucky tavern for how pricy the cocktail was... But at least it wasn't Jim beam. The service was great! Everything came out perfect and our waitress was very friendly. With all this, I'm sure you can imagine that the price was steeper than you'd expect for a burger. Mine was $17. The range seemed like 14-19 for the burgers. That paired with 8-12 dollar cocktails makes it a more of an expensive place. Just know that going in! Definitely should split the burgers, I was still stuffed even only eating half.
We stopped in after day @ Keenland, They have a small parking lot behind restaurant & little bit on side street. We had a great waitress named Halley, It was her 1st night. We went planning on eating light, Lots of good stuff on small plates. I went crab & mac n cheese. It was very good. Halley is a bad influence, Because next thing you know we're ordering Warm Bourbon bread pudding with ice cream. It was real good. She mentioned there is bourbon bar upstairs that open @ 5 pm
Last night my wife and I were looking for somewhere for dinner and she found Napa Prime on Google so decided to try it out. Especially when she read a review that said their BOM (Burger Of the Month) was Elk sliders. When she said that, I said "I'm in!!" The food was awesome and our waitress (Kendal) was outstanding! We split a small plate of 3 Elk sliders with shoestring fries as an appetizer. The sliders were juicy and tasted great. For our meals, my wife had the Fish and Chips dinner and upgraded the side from fries to Smoked Gouda Mac n Cheese which was out of this world good! For me, I opted for the decadent Creole Shrimp and Grits which was rich and creamy and absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, we were both so full from our meals we didn't have room to try the Bourbon Bread Pudding. Can't wait till we get a chance to go back, which will be very soon! The PBJ burger is calling my name or maybe the Bourbon Bacon Jam burger, or maybe we'll go back on a Monday for some mussels, YUM! Considering how good last nights food was I want to try everything on the menu. If you're near the Versailles area, do yourself a favor and take a trip to Napa Prime. You're appetite will thank you! :)
I just found this place by accident reading another reviewers comments about a burger they had here. The photos and reviews had me interested for a drive over. So glad I did, the Ky Bourbon Bacon Jan burger was simply amazing and cooked perfect.... I felt the fries were average at best but I didn't come here for the fries. The atmosphere is nice and on point as it isn't upscale feeling, but doesn't feel like a fast food burger dive, it is just right for my liking. The service was great.... I was greeted as I walked in the door, and my server, Kendal, was super friendly and sweet and provided great service. I would have liked to see the owners engage with patrons as they were not that busy today but they did not while I was there..... I just think that is a nice touch and I would have loved to have praised my lunch and my server with either of them, but as long as they keep putting out good food this is a minor tick!! Great Job and thanks again Kendal for a nice lunch!
This is an incredible place to go to whenever you want some fresh, never frozen seafood! You can taste and smell the quality difference here. The waiters/waitresses are very friendly and attentive, when we came in, my date (let's call them R) got soaked in the rain, and they even brought R towels to dry off with. It was exceptionally sweet, and we joked about it with our waitress for the rest of the night. The atmosphere is very similar to a pub, but without the abundance of drinking, so very friendly, light hearted, and busy. Please stop by and give them some love whenever you're around and hungry - you won't regret it!
Monday afternoon spur of the moment trip. We've noticed the place passing through Versailles but never stopped. So glad we did. The place is small and quaint, looks like an old Pizza Hut remodeled. We were immediate seated and given water and our drink orders taken. I ordered the Red Sangria which is great, one of the best Sangrias I've had. My Fiancé ordered the KY Mule which is enjoyed immensely. I ordered the Cheeseburger sliders minus the cheddar and Napa sauce and added the beer cheese and sriracha aioli. Yes they let you do all sorts of changes without fretting. My side was tater tots and although I'm not a tot fan these were seasoned perfectly. Our waiter Nick was spot on checking on us and refilling drinks as needed. And for mussel lovers apparently this is your place on Mussel Mondays. They were cranking the mussel orders out of the kitchen like they were going out of style.
Located near a busy intersection in Versailles, neither the building (a former pizza hut) nor the name (this is bourbon country not wine country, right?) would have led me to stop here. Fortunately we saw the good reviews and stopped in for an early dinner/late lunch recently. I had The Hangover Burger, which came with a nicely runny fried egg, and tater tots on the side. The burger was delicious and cooked well. The tater tots were plentiful and just OK. I didn't understand why they served the burger on a long plate that was only as wide as the burger itself. Hard to keep a runny egg on a plate so narrow. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Where in Kentucky can you get a camel burger? Right here at Napa Prime Burgers + Seafood in Versailles (ver-sales), Kentucky. The burger of the month changes. This month is camel, it has been elk and other exotic meats. For this visit, I was just coming back from a couple distillery tours and I needed food. After finding that every (and I mean every) local restaurant in Lawrenceburg was closed, we decided to head up to Versailles. I had been wanting to try this place for months and now the time has come. At 3:30pm on a Sunday, there were just a few people in what is a converted "pizza hut". It has the classic pizza hut style on the outside, but the inside is industrial/rustic chic. Since I had been "tasting" bourbons all day, I decided to forgo the cocktails and work on an appetizer. I ordered the beer cheese fondue which is served with tater tots and topped with bacon and green onions. (*drools*) This was so good, I am dreaming of it even now. As a meal I ordered the bacon bourbon BBQ burger with whipped potatoes. All of it was so delicious. Everyone in my group loved everything. I wish I had room for dessert, but it just wasn't going to happen. I can't wait to come back here.
